The psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and individualized treatment plans for adult patients. They will also collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and offer psychiatric consultations within the Wellstar system.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree and have completed an accredited psychiatry residency program. A current, unrestricted medical license in Georgia and board certification or eligibility in psychiatry are required.
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, social workers, nurses, and primary care physicians, to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
Adhere to all regulatory and accreditation standards, as well as Wellstar policies and procedures.
Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
Completed residency in Psychiatry from an accredited program.
Prior experience in outpatient psychiatric care is preferred but not required.
Strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in using electronic medical records (Epic experience preferred).
