  • Responsibilities: Provide compassionate and therapeutic massage therapy to hospice patients in accordance with their individualized care plans. Assess patients' needs and preferences to develop customized treatment plans that address their physical discomfort, tension, and stress. Utilize a variety of massage techniques, including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, and gentle touch, to promote relaxation, pain relief, and overall comfort. Offer supportive care and emotional presence to patients and their families, creating a safe and nurturing environment for healing. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure continuity of services for patients receiving hospice care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and progress notes. Adhere to professional ethics and standards of practice, ensuring patient safety, confidentiality, and dignity at all times.

  • Abilities: Knowledge of and ability to utilize a wide variety of massage techniques. Knowledge of the hospice philosophy of care. Compassion and empathy for patients. Excellent interpersonal skills. Basic computer knowledge. Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to the geriatric and adult population. Interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with patients, families, and staff. Ability to interact within a team and coordinate with family members, patients, and the entire team of care.

Pay

$30-40 per visit

QualificationsQualifications: Valid certification or license as a Massage Therapist in the state of Colorado. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and massage therapy techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and trust with patients and families. Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care, with sensitivity to the needs of individuals facing end-of-life challenges. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with nurses, social workers, chaplains, and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements

Requires a valid certification or license as a Massage Therapist in the state of Colorado. Candidates must possess strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and various massage techniques, along with a compassionate approach to end-of-life care.
