The MRI Technologist is responsible for creating high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and proper equipment operation. They also participate in the training of students and new employees while maintaining accurate patient records.
Candidates must hold an ARRT certification and Basic Life Support certification. One year of experience and MRI certification are preferred qualifications.
Maintains patient care Performs examinations Identifies relevant data from images accurately Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional. Ensures patient safety and emergency preparedness Documents patient information Ensures proper film identification on all images Accurately completes computer functions-edits, status changes, logging Accurate film marking and jacket preparation Achieves quality diagnostic images by use of proper positioning of patients and correct operation of equipment. Performs training and education duties Participates in the orientation of new employees. Responsible for the training of students Participates in the training of health care professionals and new employees. Maintains equipment Correctly operates equipment Optimizes use of equipment Understands the structure visualized and its significance
Required Qualifications ARRT Certification Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
Preferred Qualifications: 1 year of experience Meet MRI Safety Screen requirements MRI Certification within 1-1/2 Yrs
