The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist ensures the safety and effectiveness of drug use for patients across all age groups in a clinical setting. Responsibilities include monitoring drug orders, counseling patients, and supervising pharmacy staff and residents.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and be licensed or eligible for licensure with the Virginia Board of Pharmacy. Preferred qualifications include a Pharm.D. degree and completion of an ASHP-accredited residency.
