The LPN provides direct patient care, including IV therapy, under the direction of a registered nurse while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. They are responsible for gathering patient data, planning care, and ensuring compliance with healthcare laws and safety standards.
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and a current licensed practical nursing (LPN) license in the state of practice. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is also required.
