The Certified Medication Aide is responsible for preparing, administering, and documenting prescribed medications in accordance with state regulations and facility policies. They also assist residents with daily living tasks such as bathing, feeding, and transferring while monitoring for medication side effects.
Candidates must have successfully completed a State Approved Medication Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program and be in good standing with the state registry. At least one year of previous health care experience is preferred, along with a high school diploma or equivalent.
