  • SUMMARY: The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist our providers in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. In addition, this position will ensure the well-being of patients and provide a positive, supportive environment while working in conjunction with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, front office staff and clinical staff.

  • FUNCTIONS: Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations in accordance with physician orders. Ensure proper patient positioning, technique, and radiation safety protocols. Prepare and maintain imaging equipment; report any malfunctions. Verify patient identity and explain procedures clearly to ensure patient comfort and understanding. Maintain accurate records of imaging procedures and patient data, including retrieving and archiving radiolographic reports Assist with front and back office duties as needed, such as rooming patients, taking vital signs, or assisting with medical procedures (if applicable). Follow HIPAA and OSHA guidelines and maintain a clean, safe work environment. Provide proper, concise and complete EMR documentation and paper based documentation for all assessment and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

Ability to work well under pressure and stay calm/focused in emergency situations. Ability to make decisions quickly and appropriately. Be a highly self-motivated and results-driven individual. Proficient with computers and technology. Demonstrate professionalism, respect and tact at all times. Displays enthusiasm and a positive attitude toward coworkers and all members of the practice. Ability to work with diverse groups of people of varying ages, ethnicities, life experience, etc. Comfortable working independently as well as part of the team. Dependable, displays flexibility, and shows initiative. EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS: An Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Active, unrestricted and state appropriate Radiologic Technologist license and/or certification Current X-ray certification and must meet all other applicable requirements by law including state licensure in radiology technology or must have obtained the passing certification letter as applicable and required by state Maintain CEU/CME’s as applicable for licensure Currently affiliated with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)(e.g. Certified and Registered with AART or successfully pass the core modules of the ARRT limited scope of practice exams) EXPERIENCE: 1–2 Years Minimum: Preferably in a similar outpatient or ambulatory setting Workflow Efficiency: Experience with fast-paced, high-patient-volume environments is a plus. Proper Positioning & Safety: Strong understanding of patient positioning and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to sit, stand, walk for extended periods, and reach with hands and arms. Occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
