The Intake Clinician coordinates the admission process by responding to referrals, conducting clinical and suicide assessments, and triaging patients for psychiatric needs. They also manage insurance verification, maintain documentation, and serve as a clinical liaison between physicians, families, and unit staff.
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in a human services field or be a licensed RN, with preference for LCSW, LPC, or LMFT credentials. At least one to two years of experience in psychiatric healthcare and knowledge of DSM-V criteria are required.
