The therapist is responsible for performing psychosocial assessments, diagnosing patients, and developing individualized treatment plans. They will provide individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy services while maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
Requirements summary
Candidates must hold a Master of Science degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy with a clinical concentration. A minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience and appropriate state licensure are required.
Overview Responsible for completing psychosocial assessments, leading one on one and group therapy within a behavioral health space in accordance with evidence-based practices. Assesses patient needs based upon a face-to-face clinical interview, case history review and information obtained from collateral sources such as family members, the referent or other parties. Recognizes signs/symptoms associated with risk of harm to self and/or others and implements appropriate interventions as necessary. Develops and implements an appropriate treatment plan of care for the patient based upon relevant clinical information and diagnosis. Consults with family members or professionals from other agencies/organizations as necessary in developing optimal treatment services. This position will also consider Provisional licensure. Responsibilities
Evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment:
Perform psychosocial and diagnostic assessments
Diagnose patients in accordance with the current DSM
Involve collateral sources in patient’s treatment as clinically indicated (e.g., family, friends, etc.)
Develop individual treatment plans to help patients achieve their goals
Provide individual, couples, family and group psychotherapy services as indicated by the treatment plan

Maintain licensure
Maintain eligibility to bill for government payers (i.e., not on the Medicaid/Medicare exclusion list.)
Document services accurately and timely patient progress with treatment plan goals
Achieve site of care productivity standards
Qualifications
Education: Master of Science Degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy Required with a clinical/mental health concentration from an accredited school.
Experience
2 years post graduate degree experience required. 1 year of experience working with a site’s clientele is preferred. (For example, if this job is a pediatric site of care experience with pediatrics is preferred.)
