We are continually growing and expanding our services to include our Quick Care Clinic which provides walk-in, same-day services for minor illnesses, injuries, and preventative care. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner who is interested in working a 4-10 schedule, which includes working either Saturdays and/or Sundays. The Quick Care Clinic is growing at a rapid pace and we are looking excited about the potential growth in this area. We are located on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula, surrounded by the great outdoors. Locally we have many city, county, state, and federal parks. We are surrounded by an extravagant number of outdoor activities including hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, ocean beaches, lakes, rivers, bird watching and much more. The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for caring for patients, maintaining accurate and current medical records, and administering follow-up appointments. They will provide clinical expertise to patients seen in our Quick Care Clinic. Specific duties and day-to-day tasks of the Nurse Practitioner are prompted by assignments, and by requirements to fulfill responsibilities established by the Supervisor.
• These duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment for a specified patient population. Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions. Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate. Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required. Carries out care plans, evaluates, monitors on a regular basis, and effects changes as needed. Triages telephone calls from patients. Ensures patient confidentiality as defined by HIPAA and the medical facility. Records and documents health information necessary to maintain, coordinate and /or expedite required services and quality improvement programs. Develops, conducts, and evaluates formal or informal in-services and educational programs in area of expertise. In support of the research process, contributes ideas, collects data, shares knowledge, and applies new findings to practice. Participates as a team member in the provision of medical and health care, interfacing with professional colleagues to provide comprehensive care. Is encouraged to participate on committees and attend required meetings, and in-services. Encourage all staff to adhere to the highest standards in patient care and conduct regular staff reviews. Perform clinical skills within the scope of practice of the employees license. Perform all essential functions required of medical staff for the clinic, in compliance with their license. Coordinates medical professionals and support staff to ensure effective and efficient patient care. Performs other duties as assigned. Subscribes to the mission, vision and values.
