About the role

Perform a range of diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily in X-ray, while ensuring high-quality images and patient safety. Collaborate closely with radiologists, providers, and nursing staff to support timely imaging services within the community hospital.

Cottage Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Radiologic Technologist to join our Radiology team and provide flexible, as-needed coverage. This role is ideal for a technologist who values variety in their work and enjoys supporting a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

In this position, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily in X-ray, with opportunities to assist in additional modalities based on experience and department needs. CT experience is preferred, but candidates with strong X-ray skills and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

include safely operating imaging equipment, producing high-quality diagnostic images, and ensuring a positive patient experience. You will prepare patients for exams, explain procedures clearly, and provide supportive, compassionate care throughout their visit.

This role involves close collaboration with radiologists, providers, nurses, and other hospital staff, as well as communication with patients and families. You may also coordinate with other departments and external providers to support efficient and timely imaging services.

We appreciate a 2 shift per month commitment for per diem roles.

Requirements

Candidates must be able to operate imaging equipment and provide supportive patient care. Experience in X-ray is required, and CT experience is strongly preferred.
