About the role

Position Overview The MRI Technologist performs high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing a safe and positive patient experience.

Position Details

Employment Type: PRN (as needed) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM Department: Imaging Travel: None required Supervisory Responsibilities: None Compensation: Commensurate with experience Key Responsibilities Perform MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols and physician orders Ensure accurate patient positioning and proper selection of imaging parameters Guide patients through procedures with clear communication and compassionate care Monitor patient safety throughout imaging, including screening for MRI contraindications Collaborate with radiologists and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal imaging outcomes Maintain imaging equipment and ensure quality control standards are met Manage workflow efficiently to support timely patient care and diagnosis Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory and hospital standards

Minimum Qualifications

Certification: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification – required Certification: Current CPR certification – required Experience: Minimum of six (6) months MRI clinical experience preferred Core Competencies Strong technical knowledge of MRI procedures, positioning, and safety protocols Attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic accuracy Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration with the care team Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills Professionalism and accountability in all aspects of care Employment Requirements Compliance with all hospital policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered) Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening (post-offer)

Requirements
