Position Overview The CT Technologist performs computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures to support accurate and timely diagnosis. This role is essential in delivering high-quality imaging services while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and exceptional care—especially during overnight hours when it matters most.
Employment Type: Full-Time Shift: (schedule varies) Department: Imaging Location: Ashe Memorial Hospital, West Jefferson, NC On-Call: Required Compensation: Competitive; commensurate with experience Incentive: Commitment bonus available Key Responsibilities Perform CT imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols Ensure accurate patient positioning and selection of appropriate imaging parameters Produce high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation Administer contrast media safely and monitor patients for reactions Maintain patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality throughout procedures Collaborate with radiologists and interdisciplinary care teams Support additional radiology services as needed Maintain equipment functionality and adhere to quality control standards Document procedures accurately in accordance with regulatory requirements
Certification: ARRT (CT) registered or registry-eligible Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program Certification: Current CPR certification – required Experience: CT experience preferred; strong candidates with relevant training will be considered Core Competencies Strong technical and imaging skills Attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic accuracy Ability to work independently in a night shift environment Effective communication and patient care skills Professionalism and accountability Employment Requirements Compliance with all hospital policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered) Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening (post-offer)
