Clinical Technician 1 Family-centered Care

• Inova Alexandria Hospital is looking for a dedicated Clinical Technician to join the team in our Family-centered Care Unit.
• This role will be full time, night shift 7PM – 7:30AM.
• Three 12-hour shifts per week.
• Days vary each 6-week schedule period.
• Candidates must be available to work any day of the week when scheduled.
• Candidates must be able to attend a paid 6 week training period, attending an initial Monday-Friday training schedule.

• Job Responsibilities
• Assists in the delivery of direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Provides basic activities of daily living nursing care (e.g. bathing and feeding) and measurement of vital signs and intake/output.
• Demonstrates competency in all required clinical skills and technologies in accordance with Inova Health System policies and procedures.
• Completes assigned patient duties within the established time frame.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development in providing care for the patient population assigned.
• Completes necessary documentation accurately and reinforces discharge teaching and home care skills.
• Communicates changes in patient status to the Registered Nurse in a timely manner.
• Partners with Registered Nurse to create a professional development plan to provide employee with the necessary skills to deliver up to date patient care.
• Performs phlebotomy, starting and removing IV’s, and other clinical skills, which will be included in initial 6-weeks of training.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Shift

• nights (7pm-7:30am)
• Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week (with every other weekend rotation)
