  • Category: NursingAurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a compassionate, skilled Registered Nurse to join our Outpatient Clinic team at the Platte Counseling Center in Commerce City. This full‑time role follows a consistent Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm (5x8) schedule. It provides high‑quality, patient‑centered care to adults living with severe and persistent mental illness and substance use disorders. As a key member of our interdisciplinary Physician Operations team, you’ll play an essential role in medication management, patient monitoring, de‑escalation, and collaborative care planning—helping individuals remain connected to their families and communities. The ideal candidate is self‑motivated, clinically confident, and thrives in complex environments, with strong nursing judgment and a collaborative mindset. An active Colorado RN license, current BLS certification, and prior psychiatric nursing experience are required. Starting wage is based on licensure and company equity. Paid bi-weekly. $36.56 - $44.00 hourly Bilingual Language Differential Pay. *Rate depends on language requirements for the position and the candidate's fluency. Employees who successfully pass a language assessment are eligible to receive bilingual differential pay. This differential is provided as a fixed amount of $3,000 per calendar year, paid on a bi‑weekly basis across 26 pay periods, and prorated based on hire date and full‑time equivalency (FTE). Eligibility and payment are subject to the language requirements of the position and the employee’s demonstrated proficiency in the language.

  • Functions: Support the clinical functions of the Medical team (completing all medical orders and communicating vital patient care information to physician/prescriber). Perform nursing interventions for which an RN has been trained. Observe, identify and monitor patient condition, including changes in symptoms, and relate same to appropriate members of the treatment team. Administer injections and medications. Provide patient education for medication(s). Provide medical case management and other clinical interventions, as appropriate. Effectively respond to patient needs and problems; provide timely responses to messages and other requests. Coordinate prescription refills according to organization policy. Act as liaison to outside agencies and providers to ensure continuity of care for patients. Provide assistance in crisis intervention, as needed. In a timely manner, accurately and completely chart interventions, lab results, medications dispensed, and all activities related to patient interactions according to the organization's procedures. Complete required education and training in a timely manner. Provide information to credentialing, payroll, etc. in a timely manner.

  • Requirement: Per Colorado BHA regulations, you must hold an active Colorado RN license before providing any client services. Out-of-state multi-state or compact licensure that includes authority to practice in Colorado is also sufficient. Must possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain one within 30 days of hire.

Preferred

Knowledge and familiarity of nursing care management concepts and psychotropic medications. Advanced written and oral communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, and efficient time management with multitasking ability. Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team and to collaborate with other internal and external teams. Ability to learn and operate various software programs including MS Word, MS Excel, and web-based systems. Required Vaccination and TB Test. At AMHR the health and safety of our clients and staff are our top priorities. As part of this commitment, all employees are required to receive an annual influenza (flu) shot and present a negative TB test result before their first day of work. Proof of both the flu shot and negative TB test must be provided on your first day of employment. Medical and religious exemptions can be requested if necessary.
