The COTA performs delivery of care following occupational therapy plans and ensures compliance with AOTA standards and state regulations. They also provide clinical supervision to support staff and promote occupational therapy services within the organization.
Candidates must hold an Associate degree in Occupational Therapy and an active license in the State of Kansas. Additionally, CPR and BLS certifications are required for the role.
Performs delivery of care following occupational therapy plans of care, and assures delivery of prescribed care to assigned patients consistent with standards of practice defined by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and the occupational therapy practice act in the State of Kansas. Provides direction and clinical supervision to clinical support staff. Promotes occupational therapy services and fosters professional development throughout the organization and the surrounding community. Reports directly to the designated department leader.
