The Direct Support Professional assists individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving personal independence goals within a residential setting. Responsibilities include providing personal care, facilitating community outings, monitoring health needs, and maintaining a safe, supportive home environment.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license held for at least three years. Applicants are also required to obtain PA clearances, including Child Abuse, Criminal, and FBI fingerprinting records.
