The Item Entry Technician facilitates front-end prescription processing, including intake, order setup, and claims adjudication. They also manage prior authorization requests and ensure patient profiles are accurately maintained.
Candidates must be a Certified and Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with at least one year of pharmacy experience. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with the ability to meet specific typing and prescription entry speed standards.

Summary Under the direction of the Pharmacy Supervisor, facilitates all aspects of front-end prescription processing including prescription intake, order setup, and RX setup. Will assist with claims adjudication, prior authorization management and other responsibilities as necessary.
This position is in a typical office environment which requires prolonged sitting in front of a computer. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment including operation of standard computer and phone equipment. May have occasional high stress when dealing with customers/clients. Some travel may be required.
