Candidates must hold a current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and NRP, with at least one year of relevant nursing experience preferred.

This role is essential in ensuring safe, high-quality outcomes for both mothers and newborns. Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to obstetrical patients during labor and delivery Monitor maternal and fetal well-being and respond to changes in condition Support patients and families throughout the childbirth and recovery process Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation Respond effectively to high-acuity and emergency situations Promote a safe, patient-centered care environment
Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state Certification: Basic Life Support (CPR) – required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required within 6 months Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – required within 6 months Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of Labor & Delivery or relevant nursing experience preferred Core Competencies Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Commitment to safety, quality, and professionalism Employment Requirements Compliance with all hospital policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered) Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening (post-offer)
