Summary : The RN Surgical Optimization Specialist is responsible for facilitating coordination, education and resources for surgical patients to ensure the highest quality of care with the best outcomes for the patient.
Collaborates with multiple disciplines and resources to facilitate the coordination of pre-surgical assessments, interventions to optimize surgical outcomes and post-surgical activities.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or commitment to obtain within five years. Associate's Degree in Nursing accepted in lieu of BSN for those hired prior to 1/23/17. WI Registered Nurse license American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) Physical Demands Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties Work Environment Normally works in climate controlled office environment Frequent sitting with movement throughout office space Occasional contact with aggressive and or combative patients Use of computers throughout work day Frequent use of keyboard with repetitive motion of hands, wrist and fingers Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36 Scheduled FTE: 0.9 Location: Orthopedic Spine and Pain Clinic - Appleton,Wisconsin Overtime Exempt: No Worker Shift Details: Days
