The physical therapist provides in-patient care by performing functional evaluations, establishing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions. They also collaborate with the healthcare team and provide clinical supervision to physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation aides.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE-approved program and possess a valid NYS Physical Therapy license or limited permit. Additionally, current BLS or CPR certification from the American Heart Association is required.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Physical Therapist, Per Diem (In-patient).
In this role, the successful candidate provides appropriate therapy to promote the improvement of mobility, functional ability, and quality of life. Uses clinical expertise to plan the delivery of safe, therapeutic, and age appropriate care through examination, evaluation, diagnosis and physical intervention.
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree Physical Therapy (Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) approved PT program). Current and valid NYS Physical Therapy license and registration or limited permit. Current and valid BLS or CPR certification from the American Heart Association - Inpatient facility only. Excellent communication (both oral and written) skills. Basic computer skills.
Master's Degree Physical Therapy (Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) approved PT program). Other Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) Physical Therapy (Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) approved PT program). 1- 2 years Hospital (Inpatient) or Orthopedic (Outpatient) Rehabilitation setting.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $60.00 - $60.00 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
