About the role

The OR/PACU RN will perform preoperative assessments, develop patient care plans, and provide clinical support during surgical procedures. They are also responsible for administering medications, monitoring patients recovering from anesthesia, and providing education and support to patients and their families.

Opportunity Overview

  • We have an immediate opening for an OR/PACU RN to join our team at IVF Florida in Jacksonville, Florida.
  • Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and Wednesday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with two weekend days per month and rotating holidays

In this role, the OR/PACU RN will

  • Utilize advanced assessment skills to formulate patient care plans and identify patient care problems
  • Perform initial preoperative assessment, develop a plan of care, and explain the subsequent phases of surgery
  • Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
  • Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed
  • Provide patient education
  • Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members

Qualifications

and Skills Include:

  • Active RN license
  • 1 year minimum of clinical experience in Operating, Procedure Room or PACU required
  • Strong IV start skills required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification
  • Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
  • Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
  • Ability to communicate accurately and concisely

Requirements

Candidates must hold an active RN license and possess at least one year of clinical experience in an Operating Room, Procedure Room, or PACU. Current BLS and ACLS certifications and strong IV start skills are required for this position.
