The ideal candidate will diagnose, educate, and initiate treatment in an outpatient clinic setting, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to promote health and prevent disease. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, diagnose conditions, and initiate treatment plans. Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests. Provide consultations to other clinic providers as needed. Supervise and support advanced practice professionals. Participate in after-hours call coverage to ensure continuity of care. Collaborate with internal and community providers to deliver integrated primary care services. Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system.
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school. Board Eligible/Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related field. Current unrestricted South Dakota medical license and DEA license. Experience serving low-income, ethnic minority, and underserved populations preferred.
