Atrium Health Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute –Concord, is currently seeking an Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to join their established practice in Concord, NC. You'll be joining a great team atmosphere with opportunities for autonomy. Our surgeons are readily available and easy to work with. Our busy practice provides plenty of opportunities for continued growth while remaining centrally location.

Practice Highlights

The practice has 12 cardiac and thoracic surgeons across SHVI and 28 surgical APPs at three sites

Busy practice averaging 1500 cases a year between cardiac and thoracic services

The practice performs both inpatient and outpatient procedures and utilizes a closed ICU

No OR responsibilities. No call. Travel may be required to other sites.

Position consists of providing care to both cardiac and thoracic surgery patients.

Work in the inpatient setting on a rotating four, 10-hour shift schedule with rotating weekend coverage. Anticipated to work 1 weekend every 3-4 weeks.

Ideal candidates

Graduated from an accredited NP or PA program AND maintain a current license to practice as an NP or PA in North Carolina. Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license required. BLS/ACLS Certified.

Physician

Assistants: certification from the NCCPA required.

Nurse

Practitioners: Acute Care NP Certification required.

Experience performing some procedures, including bedside talc pleurodesis, autologous blood patch, TPA instillation, chest tube removal, pericardial drain removal, and wound vac placements.
