Market context

Texas addiction medicine roles remain selective

In Texas, addictionologist roles are typically in steady demand across hospitals, treatment centers, and outpatient behavioral health settings as providers look for physicians with substance use disorder expertise. These positions are competitive because employers often prefer board certification or eligibility, current unrestricted licensure, and several years of clinical experience in addiction medicine or psychiatry. Before applying, confirm your Texas license status and review the AI-summarized requirements and benefits on this platform to save time versus reading the full original posting.
