Nocturnist Emergency Medicine Physician Bridgeport Hospital – Bridgeport, Connecticut Position Overview: Bridgeport Hospital is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine physician to join our team as a nocturnist. This role focuses on providing high-quality, patient-centered care during overnight hours in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency department. Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive emergency medical care for patients presenting with acute illness or injury during overnight shifts Perform timely assessment, diagnosis, stabilization, and treatment across a broad spectrum of conditions Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including advanced practice providers, nursing, and specialty consultants Ensure accurate and efficient documentation in the electronic medical record Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to departmental protocols and patient safety standards Schedule & Environment: Primarily overnight shifts High-volume, community-based hospital with access to specialty services Supportive team environment with APP and subspecialty coverage To be part of our organization, every employee should understand and share in the YNHHS Vision, support our Mission, and live our Values.
