Skin Cancer Specialists - Triage Medical Assistant - Marietta

Skin Cancer Specialists, a portfolio practice of AQUA Dermatology, is a premier dermatology practice serving patients across metro Atlanta, northern and southern Georgia, eastern Alabama, and southern Tennessee. We offer comprehensive treatments for skin cancer, general dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, and aesthetic services.

Our team is seeking a Triage Medical Assistant looking for a dermatology career. The ideal Medical Assistant candidate is upbeat, energetic, intelligent, highly dependable, organized, and can multitask. Our team members are responsible for assisting the Provider with patient visits, including consultations and procedures, through the following responsibilities:

Primary Duties

• Handle incoming triage calls, voicemails, and patient call-backs in a timely and professional manner.
• Review and process incoming faxes daily.
• Respond to patient inquiries through the patient portal and Klara messaging system.
• Complete assigned daily tasks within ModMed accurately and efficiently.
• Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials.
• Escalate urgent patient concerns to providers.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

Skills and Qualities

• Able to demonstrate compassion and caring when dealing with others, patients, and co-workers.
• Able to prioritize tasks, understand the provider’s instructions, and know when to seek information or advice.
• Medical Assistant (MA) Certification
• Hands-on experience in a clinical setting
• Dermatology or surgical experience is preferred.
