About the role

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the management and delivery of patient care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. They perform ongoing assessments, plan care, and lead the patient care team under the direction of an attending physician.

Salary Range

The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $38.00 to $62.74 per hour. (Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with exp­­erience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements). As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse, you’ll provide rapid assessments, deliver urgent and compassionate care, and partner with multidisciplinary teams to ensure outstanding outcomes for a diverse patient population. Glens Falls Hospital is actively expanding and renovating the Sheridan Emergency Department to better support both patients and staff. The project includes a significantly larger footprint, enhanced private treatment areas, and improved patient flow. Portions of the renovated space are already open, with full completion anticipated in early 2027; all while the Emergency Department remains fully operational. Team Impact In this position, you will be an important member of the patient care team. The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for management and delivery of patient care to assigned patients in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and within the scope of practice delineated in the New York State Nurse Practice Act. Provides direct patient care, delegates/assigns responsibility as appropriate to others, and serves as leader of the interdisciplinary team in collaboration with and under the direction of the attending physician. The patient care team identifies desired outcomes for each patient based on assessment data, and plan of care and completes ongoing assessments to facilitative achievement of desired outcomes.
