The successful candidate will perform radiation measurements, equipment monitoring, and regulatory reporting to ensure safe clinical operations. They will also supervise dosimetry treatment planning and provide high-quality clinical service at client sites.

Clinic Information

  • This position is based in Beloit, WI
  • This is a single-LINAC, all-Elekta environment (Versa HD, Mosaiq, and Monaco with an average daily census of ~20 patients, offering a highly manageable clinical workload and a strong, collaborative team culture
  • This clinic has an incredibly welcoming team
  • 3 days onsite / 2 days remote per week
  • Opportunity to be a part of a technology upgrade to the Elekta Evo in the coming year

What You’ll Do

Perform weekly and monthly radiation measurements, as well as yearly calibration on all treatment units.

Monitor equipment in the Radiation Oncology Department to ensure that it is functioning correctly and safely.

Maintain regulatory agency records and reports.

Analyze alternative treatment plans and supervise dosimetry treatment planning functions.

Implement assessment/treatment and care based on the developmental stages of the patient.

Perform additional duties, as needed

  • What You’ll Need
  • Master’s Degree and/or PhD in Medical Physics.
  • A board certification by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Medical Physics, or board eligibility as demonstrated by graduation from a CAMPEP accredited residency in therapy physics.
  • 2+ years of clinical Therapy Medical Physics experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret regulations.
  • A willingness to go “above and beyond” for clients and fellow colleagues.
  • Demonstrate initiative, organization, and ownership of daily tasks and projects.
  • Ability to problem solve by seeking, developing, and implementing viable solutions.

Candidates must hold a Master’s degree or PhD in Medical Physics and be board certified or board eligible in Therapeutic Medical Physics. At least 2 years of clinical experience is preferred, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
