The Physician Assistant will conduct psychiatric and medical assessments, manage medications, and provide ongoing medical oversight for patients in PHP and IOP programs. They will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure integrated care and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Candidates must hold an active South Carolina PA-C license and DEA registration. Strong clinical judgment and experience or interest in behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment are required.
What You Bring Required: Active PA-C licensure in South Carolina, in good standing Active DEA registration or ability to obtain upon hire Working knowledge of psychotropic medications, MAT protocols, and monitoring requirements Strong clinical judgment, assessment skills, and ability to manage complex and high-acuity patient presentations Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and person-centered care Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary behavioral health environment Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and clinical documentation Preferred: Experience in behavioral health, psychiatry, or substance use disorder treatment
Compensation Coastal Recovery offers a competitive salary commensurate with licensure, experience, and scope of practice, structured as follows: Entry-Level (new graduate or limited behavioral health experience): $95,000 - $110,000 annually Mid-Level (2 to 4 years of behavioral health, psychiatry, or SUD experience): $110,000 - $128,000 annually Advanced (5+ years or significant psychiatric/SUD specialty experience): $128,000 - $145,000 annually A signing bonus is also available and will be discussed during the offer process.
