The Exercise Specialist performs ECG tests on patients while monitoring heart rate, blood pressure, and pain levels during exercise. They are responsible for preparing patients, maintaining equipment, and accurately documenting all stress test data.
A high school diploma or GED is required, with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science preferred. Candidates must have completed a CAN or Medical Assistant program and possess 2-3 years of cardiac patient care experience.
