What You'll Do In This Role

Be part of a care team that makes every interaction count. As a Medical Assistant, you’ll support participants aged 55 and older by providing compassionate, hands-on care in both the adult day center and outpatient clinic setting. Guided by PACE standards and best practices, you’ll help ensure a smooth, supportive care experience while contributing to the health, comfort, and well-being of the older adults we serve.

Key Responsibilities Clinical Support

• Collaborate with CNAs, nurses, and medical providers to meet patient care needs. Take medical histories, obtain vital signs, and room patients for examinations. Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and assist with minor procedures. Administer medications and immunizations as directed by a provider
• Administrative
• Support: Schedule appointments and authorize transportation services for participants. Perform data entry and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR). Answer calls, manage patient inquiries, and coordinate with outside providers. Order and maintain medical supplies, ensuring inventory is stocked.
• Team
• Collaboration: Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure integrated care. Participate in team meetings and training to stay current on practices and procedures.
• Additional
• Duties: Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines. Contribute to a positive workplace culture and perform other assigned tasks.
