The respiratory therapist provides logistical support for the Respiratory Care Department and performs independent diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. They are responsible for the clinical evaluation of care and establishing therapeutic objectives based on patient needs.
Candidates must hold a valid state license and an associate or bachelor degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and PALS, along with clinical experience in outpatient testing.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide logistical support for the operations of the Respiratory Care Department. Perform independent professional respiratory care diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, clinical evaluation of care including the establishment of therapeutic objectives and the review of care based on the age and needs of the patient.
