Medical Laboratory Scientist Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, Texas 75231 Work hours: Full-time (40 hours/week) – 1:00pm-9:30pm with alternating weekends.

Here’s What You Need Bachelor's Degree Medical Technology, Applied Technology, Clinical Lab Science or Chemical, Physical or Biological Science preferred Internship in an approved Medical Technology training program required 2 years in a Medical Laboratory preferred One year hospital experience preferred Licensed MT(ASCP) - Medical Technologist within 6 months required or MLS(ASCP) Medical Lab Scientist within 6 months required or other AMT, AAB, HHS, NCA, HEW, CLS- CA, FL, NY state license, Philippine Board of Technical Technology Upon Hire required or M(ASCP) - Microbiology if working in Microbiology Upon Hire required or BB (ASCP) - Blood Banking if working in Blood Bank Upon Hire required What You Will Do · Evaluate and solve problems related to collection and/or processing of specimens, maintaining specimen integrity throughout the testing process Facilitates workflow process Checks outstanding tests list in a timely manner Troubleshoots and follows through on outstanding tests which appear to have not been collected/received when expected Knows and uses computer downtime procedures as needed when computer is not available Helps other hospital and laboratory coworkers to provide timely patient care Additional perks of being a Texas Health MLS · Benefits include 401k, PTO, medical, dental, Paid Parental Leave, flex spending, tuition reimbursement, student loan repayment programs as well as several other benefits. · Delivery of high quality of patient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice. · A supportive, team environment with outstanding opportunities for growth Entity Highlight: For more than a half-century, Texas Health Hospital Dallas has been at the forefront of health care in North Texas.
