Responsibilities: Planning, preparation, and clean–up of meals Giving bed baths or assisting with a shower or tub bath Assist with oral care, such as tooth brushing or denture care, when the participant is unable. Assisting with getting in and out of bed to a wheelchair, walker, or chair when a participant is weight-bearing. Assisting the participants with ordinarily self-administered medications (open bottles, get water) Light housekeeping Laundering clothes and linens; Making beds and changing sheets; Shopping for essential items (e.g., groceries, cleaning supplies, etc.); Advance Personal Care
Assist with Ostomy Care, assist with catheter care, perform bowel programs, administer non-injectable meds, assist with
Insulin set-up, and perform vital signs and weights
Skills/Education: Must be 18 years of age A minimum of one year of experience in direct patient care with either a Skilled Nursing facility or an In-Home Care Agency is preferred. Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) license must be nonrestrictive Must also be able to assist the patient with walking through the use of a cane, walker, or gait belt throughout the facility or client’s home.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and have a minimum of one year of direct patient care experience. Physical ability to lift 75 lbs and assist patients with mobility is required.
