About the role

The Cath Lab RN is responsible for performing patient assessments, identifying patient needs, and initiating appropriate nursing interventions. They also provide age-appropriate care, document medical necessity, and complete the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.

How you’ll contribute A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role: Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.

Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment, and evaluation overall plan daily for effectiveness.

Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, provider, patient and family following chain of command as appropriate.

Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient protecting patient's rights.

What we’re looking for Applicants should have a current state RN license.

Additional requirements include: Associate's Degree in Nursing Required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred Minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.

We have 52 medical/surgical beds, 12 acute rehabilitation beds, 12 intensive care beds, and an 8 bed labor, delivery and post-partum unit, 16 Bed Emergency Department and Valley View Medical Center is the only all private bed hospital serving the Bullhead City/Laughlin/Needles area.

Requirements

Applicants must have an Associate's Degree in Nursing, with a Bachelor's Degree preferred. They should also possess BLS certification and have a minimum of two years of critical care or cardiac catheterization experience.
