The Licensed Master Social Worker is responsible for providing behavioral health services within an integrated care model, focusing on counseling, care coordination, and social support. This role includes conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, and providing crisis intervention and case management services under the supervision of a licensed clinical social worker.
Candidates must possess a Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work from an accredited program and maintain active licensure as a LMSW in Louisiana. Clinical experience and knowledge of DSM diagnosis and community resources are also required.
Responsible for providing behavioral health services within an integrated care model. With supervision by a LCSW, this position focuses on delivering counseling, care coordination and social support to patients across diverse populations ensuring access to comprehensive health services. In addition, LMSW will conduct evaluations/assessments, develops treatment plan and provide counseling, coordinates discharge planning, counseling, crisis intervention, resourcing, and case management services which require a high degree of independent decision-making and program administration; record appropriate documentation of services in the electronic health record; initiating and implementing behavioral interventions; Work is performed in an office setting under direct supervision by a LCSW.
Master's or Doctoral degree in the field of Social Work from an accredited program Possess and maintain Licensure as a LMSW in Louisiana which must be active, unrestricted, current, and complete Maintain CME/CEU requirements necessary for license renewal in Louisiana Clinical experience
1. Knowledgeable with DSM diagnosis and ICD coding and required review and co-sign/formal approval of supervising LCSW or other clinically licensed mental health professional 2. Proficient in the assessment and evaluation of clients to determine their mental health and social service needs, developing treatment plans and providing evidence based counseling and therapeutic interventions to patients under the supervision of an LCSW or other clinically licensed mental health professional 3. Possesses strong understanding of societies and their impact on mental health and able to build and maintain rapport with clients and their supports; is culturally sensitive and effective when working with ethnically diverse populations; researches effective therapeutic treatment modalities 4. Ability to solve problems, monitor and examine patients 5. Knowledgeable of community resources, skilled in organizing work, making assignments, and achieving goals and objectives 6. Effectively applies therapeutic orientations on a case by case basis; seeks out new methods and principles and willing to incorporate them in existing practices 7. Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with peers, employees, policy-making bodies, third-party payers, patients, caregivers, and the public 8. Provides consultation to individuals, couples, families, groups and organizations under the supervision of an LCSW or other clinically licensed mental health professional 9. Effectively draft diagnostic impressions by participating in diagnostic processes under the authority of the supervising LCSW or other clinically licensed mental health professional 10. Knowledgeable of the purposes, organization and policies of the community’s health systems sufficient to interact with other health care providers 11. Skilled in multi-tasking, organizing work, making assignments, achieving goals and objectives and work effectively in a high-stress and fast-moving environment 12. Knowledgeable of the policies and procedures of the clinic sufficient to direct its operations and to provide effective patient care 13. Ability to assume responsibility and exercise authority over assigned work functions as well as establishing and maintaining quality control 14. Participates in problem-solving and implementation of plans for departmental improvement 15. Organizes and integrates organizational priorities and deadlines 16. Actively participates in supervision, team meetings, and professional development opportunities 17. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
