The Certified Substance Abuse Counselor provides client-centered assessment, counseling, and case management services for individuals with substance use disorders. This role delivers evidence-based interventions via telehealth while coordinating care and promoting long-term recovery.
Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and possess a current Hawaiʻi CSAC, CADC, LADC, SAP, or equivalent certification. Candidates are required to have experience in substance use treatment and must reside in Hawaii.
University Health Partners of Hawaii is the Faculty Practice of the John A Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM). In conjunction with the State of Hawaii's Department of Health - Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division, JABSOM and UHP are expanding Hoʻōla UTelehealth (HUT) to provide access to no-cost addiction medicine treatment for the State of Hawaii. Our new Telehealth Addiction Medicine program is founded on the belief that everyone deserves a path to recovery. We aim to provide evidence-based, patient-centered, and non-judgmental care for individuals with substance use disorders (SUDs), meeting them wherever they are in their journey.
The Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) provides client-centered assessment, counseling, and case management services for individuals with substance use disorders (SUD). This role supports clients through telehealth by delivering evidence-based interventions, coordinating care, and promoting long-term recovery in alignment with Hawaiʻi state CSAC standards and UHP policies.
