About the role

The nurse will provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting physicians during examinations. They are also responsible for maintaining patient safety, documenting conditions, and responding to emergency situations.

Garfield County Hospital is a critical access hospital and swing bed hospital that focuses on caring for generations.

We are looking for a talented individual to join our family as an RN or LPN.

12-hour night shift 3-4 nights per week.

The successful candidate will have graduated from an accredited school of nursing and possess a current license by the Washington State Boards of Nursing as a licensed registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.

Two years of long-term care facility experience preferred but not required.

An ideal candidate would possess the ability to apply principles of logic or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions, interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic for and deal with abstract and concrete variables.

Candidates should also be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.

Duties would include, but are not limited to: Explaining procedures and treatments to patients Administer prescribed medications and treatments Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment and examination of patient Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of patients Observes patients, records significant conditions and reactions and reports to supervisor or provider of condition Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies and procedures and protocol Benefits offered with this position are: Medical insurance: employer pays for employee coverage Dental, vision, and life insurance options available Retirement plan PTO after 90 days of service LPN starting range would be $26.01 to $40.71 DOE RN starting range would be $45.19 to $65.23 DOE Why Join GCHD?

Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing school and hold a current Washington State license as an RN or LPN. The role requires the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and applying scientific logic to clinical problems.
