We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our regional Surgical Services Float Pool.

In this position, you will provide support to the Wake region ORs.

The Surgical Technologist renders care to assigned patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN) including assisting with direct patient care activities; preparing and stocking the Operating Room before and after surgery; gathering clean and sterile supplies; setting up sterile instrument fields; maintaining and monitoring aseptic techniques.

Job Requirements

  • Graduation from a Surgical Technology program or from an accredited school of Nursing
  • 3 years of experience strongly preferred
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
  • Certification in specialty area preferred
