The Emergency Department Technician provides hands-on patient care, including monitoring vital signs and assisting with personal hygiene and comfort needs. They also support the clinical team by facilitating critical workflows and maintaining a safe, efficient environment.
Candidates must hold a current CPR certification and possess a relevant credential such as a CNA, EMT-B, MA, or completion of nursing fundamentals. Applicants must be able to work in a fast-paced clinical setting and demonstrate a commitment to patient care.
Works closely with patients and provides them with basic, immediate care and comfort needs such as obtaining vitals (i.e. temperature, blood pressure, heart, and respiratory rate. Cleaning and changing bedsheets, bathing, dressing, and toileting patients. Building true emotional connections with patients.
Education: Successful completion and documentation of one of the following: Certified Nursing Assistant listed as either active or inactive on any state health care worker registry. Graduation from an accredited nursing program and waiting for NCLEX reexamination. EMT-B or MA EMR Must be enrolled in Trinity’s PCT on the job training program and successfully complete. Successful completion of first semester of nursing school that includens Nursing Fundamentals. License(s)/Certification(s): Current CPR *Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs. The salary range listed does not include other forms of compensation which may include bonuses/incentive, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits that may be applicable to this role.
