The Mammography Technologist ensures high quality mammographic exams to ensure compassionate, patient-focused procedures in a professional and highly skilled manner. The position is full-time, forty hours per week. We will also consider candidates who are interested in part time, between 20 to 30 hours per week. We are offering a hiring bonus up to $10,000 for eligible candidates.
• Job duties: Performs high quality digital Tomosynthesis mammography exams for interpretation. Ensures that all ARRT, ACR and MQSA standards are met using excellent positioning skills. Assists Mammography Supervisor by maintaining quality assurance requirements in accordance with the
• ACR and
• MQSA standards that include but are not limited to: weekly detector flat field calibration, weekly artifact evaluation, weekly phantom images, weekly SNR measurements, weekly viewing conditions, biweekly compression indicator, quarterly repeat / reject analysis, and semiannual geometry calibration and compression. Make independent decisions regarding quality mammographic images. Reports any changes in quality assurance testing or quality of the mammographic image by contacting Mammography Supervisor and / or Field Service Engineer. Provides protection for patients and self in accordance with prescribed safety standards that include consistent and established policy on reject / repeat measurements and follows the state’s regulatory Radiation Protection Laws. Makes conscious effort provide quality mammography with compassion and the least amount of discomfort as possible. Qualifications Associates degree in radiology required, bachelor’s degree preferred. Current license with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging required. Registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Advanced certificate in mammography required. Current CPR or BLS certification required.
