The Laboratory Assistant will conduct clinical tests in hematology, chemistry, and microbiology while maintaining laboratory equipment and quality control standards. Additionally, the role involves processing specimens, performing phlebotomy, and assisting medical staff to ensure accurate patient care.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, with an associate or bachelor degree in a scientific field preferred. Prior experience of 1 to 2 years in a laboratory setting is also preferred.
Stallant Health & Wellness is seeking a motivated Laboratory Assistant to help establish and run a new Moderate Complexity Lab at our Highland, CA Rural Health Clinic. This is a unique opportunity to build something from the ground up while playing a key role in ensuring timely, accurate results for patient care.

would include: Conduct clinical laboratory tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and other areas Receive, label, and process incoming specimens (blood, tissue, or chemical) according to strict SOPs Set up and Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure quality control standards Perform routine calibrations on sensitive machinery and report any technical malfunctions Monitor supply levels and assist in the ordering and restocking of reagents and disposables Phlebotomy Support the Medical Assistants when not busy in the lab Report to the Lab Manager Other tasks as needed
High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field (Biology, Chemistry, etc.) preferred Prior 1 to 2 years experience is preferred Salary and benefits
