Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant Department: Therapy Services Reports To: Rehab Director FLSA Status: Non-Exempt SUMMARY Responsible for the treatment of residents as directed by the Physical Therapist to restore, maintain, and prevent decline of resident function by planning and administering medically prescribed Physical Therapy services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Visible commitment to the CES mission, vision, and values; emphasizing and modelling the need for collaboration and teamwork.

Assists physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for residents.

Leads therapeutic activities and exercises under the direction of the physical therapists.

Documents and monitors resident progress, reporting any changes to the supervising physical therapist.

Demonstrates competency in the operation and navigation of the EMR software.

Educates residents and their families on treatment plans and any therapeutic equipment.

Serves as information and education resource for residents, families, physicians, and staff.

Demonstrates current competency applicable to the therapeutic role.

Ensures a safe and clean treatment area for residents.

Additional duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None

Requirements

Candidates must be competent in operating EMR software and performing therapeutic roles. The position requires the ability to educate residents and families on treatment plans and equipment.
