The Perioperative Nurse ensures patient safety by providing comprehensive care before, during, and after surgery. Responsibilities include maintaining a sterile operating room environment, assisting the surgeon, and monitoring patient vital signs.
Candidates must be a licensed RN with current BLS and ACLS certifications and a degree in nursing. At least one year of experience in preoperative, circulating, and PACU settings is required.
At least 1 -2 years of operating room experience in an ASC/office-based surgery center preferred. At least 1 year of preoperative, circulating, and PACU experience required. Knowledge of health and safety guidelines. Ability to multitask with strong organizational skills. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent communication skills – Fosters an environment of collaboration and respect with physician colleagues, nurses, and other healthcare team members. Flexible schedule, operating days can start as early as 6 AM.
