Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists are responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic or research purposes. A CT technologist performs computed tomography and molecular imaging procedures and acquires and analyzes data needed for diagnosis, interpretation, and the performance of interventional and therapeutic procedures at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner.
CT Technologists independently perform or assist the licensed practitioner in the completion of computed tomography. CT technologists prepare, administer and document activities related to medications and radiation exposure in accordance with federal and state laws, regulations, or lawful institutional policy.
Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) OR Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) need upon hire.
New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry or NMTCB prior to first day of employment.
Applicants hired after March 10, 2024, must complete steps required for advancing to level 2, including advanced certification, within 24 months of hire.
Education: Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology (Required)
Certified Radiology Technologist within 12 months - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Requires graduation from a Radiologic Technology specialty training program and certification by the ARRT or NMTCB. New graduates must obtain registry certification prior to their first day of employment.
