The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for caring for and maintaining all surgical instrumentation. They are also tasked with setting up necessary supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
A high school diploma or GED is required, with CRCST or CSPDT certification and 2-3 years of experience as an Instrument Room Technician preferred. Candidates must be familiar with medical terminology and various types of sterilizers.

The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
