Candidates must hold a Doctorate in Medicine (MD or DO) and have completed an accredited psychiatry residency program. A valid medical license to practice in Connecticut and board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry are required.

Patient care in Lawrence + Memorial Hospital’s intensive outpatient program (IOP) involves individual treatment plans aimed at helping each patient maximize personal goals for better health. The IOP is group therapy that provides services to adults who benefit from the structure of an intensive clinical program but do not require inpatient care.
