Mental Health Technician

Responsibilities

• Mental Health Tech (MHT) Friends Hospital Full-time - 40 hours / week, 3pm-11pm, every other weekened shift requirement Philadelphia, PA Friends Hospital is the nation's oldest private psychiatric hospital, located on a beautiful 100-acre campus in Philadelphia, PA.
• Friends Hospital offers a continuum of care including level of care assessments; specially designed inpatient units for adolescents, adults, and older adults; and a private residential rehabilitation program.
• Friends Hospital is easily accessed via public transportation and has free, safe, on-site parking.
• Mental Health Technicians (MHT) at Friends Hospital assist in direct care and management of patients across all age ranges with medical and behavioral issues as directed bytreatment team.
• MHT's assist with unit programming by facilitating and conducting groups and ensuring patients are engaged in active treatment at all times.
• Assist with daily leisure activities, and all activities associated with daily living within the functional ability of patients and with consideration for the patients level of growth and development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in an area of human services, which includes, but may not be limited to the following: psychology, sociology, political science, counseling, criminal justice, pastoral counseling, elementary/special education, or family therapy.
• OR High School Diploma or GED equivalent plus 2 years of experience in human service field.
