A Registered Dietitian (RD) or Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) Essential Job Functions: Conduct patient nutritional assessments, developing personalized meal plans, providing counseling, monitoring progress, managing food services, and educating the public or specialized groups on healthy eating.
Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) must hold at least a graduate degree from an ACEND-accredited program, complete over 1,000 hours of supervised practice, pass the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) national exam, and maintain continuing education.
